How do you end a shout in a text?
Message us with the word STOP at anytime during a conversation to end the conversation. Our volunteer will not message you again once you have ended the conversation. If you would like to start the conversation again, text 85258 saying START.
Can you call 111 for mental health?
If you are concerned about your own mental health or the mental health of someone you care about, you should call NHS 111 or make an appointment with your GP, who can refer you to the right services. If someone is putting themselves or others in danger now, its an emergency and you should call the police on 999.
Is it bad to text your therapist?
Some therapists are open to occasional texts or calls from their clients outside of session, particularly if the client is feeling overwhelmed or particularly low. Clients should discuss texting with their therapist and whether (and when) its acceptable. If a client is in a true emergency, they should always call 911.
